Buzz is: Tabu to be seen with Rana Daggubati and Sai Pallavi in a Telugu film?
Tabu is one of those Bollywood actresses who’ve not only worked in the movies down South, but have also earned quite a good name there. While it seems like more and more B-Town actresses are willing to explore the South film industry, with Shraddha Kapoor in Saaho and Alia Bhatt taking up RRR, if recent reports are anything to go by, then Tabu too may soon be seen in a Telugu film, alongside Rana Daggubati and Sai Pallavi.
While speculations about her film with Allu Arjun are rife already, now buzz is that Tabu may be seen playing the character of a civil rights activist and professor in the film with Rana Daggubati and Sai Pallavi. A report on Deccan Chronicle not only suggests the same, but also adds that the film is to be directed by Venu Udugula. Venu is known for helming the film Needi Naadi Oke Katha.
Grapevine has it, that the shooting of the film will begin sometime in July this year. As per the daily, the director came down to Mumbai last month and narrated the script to Tabu and apparently, the actress pretty much liked it. She is yet to sign the dotted line though. Reportedly, Rana may be seen as a polic officer and Sai Pallavi may be seen playing a naxalite in the film.
Meanwhile Tabu was last seen in Sriram Raghavan’s AndhaDhun along with Ayushmann Khurrana and Radhika Apte. The actress is now gearing up for the release of her next titled De De Pyaar De. The film reunites her with Ajay Devgn. Rakul Preet Singh too will be seen playing the parallel lead in the film along with Tabu. De De Pyaar De is slated to hit the theatres on May 17 this year.
